HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Here's to a very good New Year !  I love a new start, a clean slate, resolutions made (rarely kept !) and now all the celebrations are over, its time to put away the decorations ! hooray ! I keep mine to a minimum even the tree is  John Lewis twig tree.  It's actually stunning in a very simple way, but I will have to confess I'm glad to be back to normal.

I have been busy this week with my furniture painting and various crafts.  I also have a book review to write about. I feel very guilty as I was sent the book towards the end of last year, and I haven't got around to doing the review and it's a really super cookery book, so I will do it over the next few days.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and have some lovely plans for this year, whether they are holidays, new craft projects or garden makeovers.  It's always good to have something to plan and look forward too.

below are a few photo's of the twig tree and my minimal fireplace.

I actually found it quite difficult writing this post after a gap in my blogging, I need to write more and I'd like to change the whole appearance of my blog. It's a bit stale now and needs a makeover.

  1. I love that tree! It's that time of year isn't - even extending to blogs! Clear out, tidy up, a bit of a change around.

    1. Hi Pam thanks for the comment. It is indeed
Time for change and a clear out. In fact I have a hankering to change many things in my life. I get like that every time I go to London. I can't believe after all these years I still miss it.
