Crochet update, Florence's throw is growing
The throw is growing, very slowly. I only manage to crochet a few squares a day. Last night I crocheted together 8 squares, that takes an age to do. I also made 2 small flowers to sew onto some plain squares. The colours here aren't really true as I have taken them under artificial light, scroll down to a previous post for the true colours taken in day light.
Thanks Kella & JO. It's growing a bit too slow for me, I just don't get enough time to crochet, but today I am determined to make at least 6 possibly 8 squares. x
Wow, it's looking amazing and your flowers are looking FAB! It will grow - be patient. Mine is now 6 x 8 squares but needs to be 3 times that for our kingsize bed I should imagine. Where's my hook? ha ha x p.s. allotment blogs comments are permanantely on now x
I had decided to start this blog especially for recipes that can be used for all the gluts of fruit and vegetables that having an allotment or kitchen garden can produce. It saves having to use the allotment blog for posting lengthy recipes.
However it looks like my Crafts are taking over my life and this blog during the winter months. So bear with me if it's recipes you are after as I will still post some.
Also If I know of any books or links that I come across that will be of interest to other crafters, who like myself have to do something when the growing season is dormant, I will add the book title or link on here.
If you have a favourite recipe or book that you would like added please let me know. In fact I would love to have your recipies on here and will always put a link to your name and say who supplied the recipe.
I live in Hampshire with my husband Austin, I have 3 grown up children and 4 grandchildren. I Love photography and growing my own veg on my allotment and crafts of all kinds. We travel whenever possible and I always have my camera with me to take photo's of whatever appeals to me, whether it's scenery, or people.
I am now crazy about Crochet too.
This is turning out so beautifully.
